About This Property
Tucked into the treetops of Elysian Heights, these 2 storybook bungalows are proof that the best things come in small, shingled packages. One unit is currently vacant. Both are one bedroom, one bath each, and buckets full of charm. Rich, exposed redwood beams crisscross overhead like the rafters of a mountain cabin, set off by crisp white board-and-batten walls that glow in the afternoon sun. Original wood floors creak just enough to remind you this house has stories to tell. The kitchen is a vintage lover's dream. A gleaming white enamel range holds court beneath milk-glass pendants, flanked by marble counters perfect for rolling out dough. A butter-yellow hutch stands ready for your thrifted teacups and Fiestaware, and a breakfast bar with two stools invites lazy Sunday mornings with coffee and the crossword. A skylight and a wall of divided-light casement windows bring the outdoors in, so the living room feels like a sunny little nest in the leaves. The bedroom is a quiet, light-dappled retreat with garden views through French-style windows and a lantern pendant floating overhead. The bathroom is pure old-school sweetness: a clawfoot tub with a handheld shower, a classic pedestal sink, and a warm wood medicine cabinet. Bubble baths are strongly encouraged. Outside, a wraparound deck will be your favorite experience. Pull up an Adirondack chair, enjoy the cafe lights, and gaze across the treetops to the San Gabriel Mountains while the sun goes down. Mini-split climate control keeps things cozy year-round. This treasure is filled with personality, character and charm. Come create your own magic and enjoy the peace and serenity.
